You might have travelled abroad and noticed that you fit better in another culture than home. It has happened to me, and I have sometimes felt I fit better in other countries, and out of place in my own.
Because according to Brent Massey, it depends on your personally type which country you fit best in. In his theory he use the 16 personalities in the well-known Myers-Briggs personality assessment model, and link them to different countries.
For example, creative, innovative and outspoken people fits best in countries like Lithuania, Serbia and Afghanistan. While hard-working extroverts in the USA. Serious and dependable introverts in Germany. Of course these are just generalizations, and the author is the first one to admit that.
Furthermore, he profiles 115 different countries, but only interviews 400 people for his theory. This is far from a large enough sample size to draw any concrete conclusions. But it is still an interesting theory, I think.
Following are the different countries that matches different personalities. If you are not sure about your personality type, you can take a shortened version of the personality test of Myers-Briggs here.
