Finally, on my trip to El Nido, in the Philippines, I got to try scuba diving. And this clumsy attempt was caught on camera.
After going from door to door in El Nido, we felt comfortable to do our first dive with “El Nido Adventure Scuba”, and the instructor Ruben. We were very happy with the choice.
It was all an amazing experience, besides, me swallowing a lot of salty water during the training. We were going to take out the mouthpiece, let it float in the water, catch it and put it back in again. This attempt ended pretty bad, for me.
My husband did this first. No problem!
I take out my Mouthpiece.
I take out my right arm. I miss the Moutpiece.
Finally, I grab it! Put the mouthpiece back on.
The salty water fills my troat. I cannot breathe.
I swim up and reach the surface, and catch some air.
Instructor Ruben comes up: If you had done this during a real dive, you would have died!
Apperently, I did everything, I shouldn’t do during a dive!
Well, after some food, a lot of coughing, and some time to calm myself down. I was ready for a new dive. Luckily, this time it all went fime. I was scuba diving for 45 minutes, none stop. A comeback, I was pretty proud of. I’m allowed to be that, right? Now, when shall I take the Scuba diver certification!? Soon, I hope! 😉
Take a look at the video from my first time scuba diving above.
Have you ever tried Scuba diving? If yes, how was your experience? If no, would you like to try?
